Travel Grants

We are happy to announce the availability of travel grants for Young Scientists to support attendance of Early Career Scientists at BAGECO 14. Please find the list of grants and how to apply below.

Application Deadline for all grants: 26 February 2017

All applications will be checked for eligibility and completeness. After the deadline has passed complete applications will be reviewed by the conference chair. All applicants will be notified of the decision soon by 30th of April 2017 at the latest.

ISME internationally sponsors events in the field of Microbial Ecology.

Application regulations:
To apply for an ISME grant you must be:
-    a postgraduate student or early career postdoctoral researcher*
-    without alternative sources of funding
-    a presenting author of an oral or poster presentation at BAGECO 14

*Definition: A microbiologist active in research who is doing a PhD or who obtained his/her highest academic degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) less than five years prior to the application deadline date. Please provide verification when submitting your application.

FEMS supports selected European meetings with a Meeting Grant.

Please note that, in addition to the FEMS Meeting Grant, the organisers will waive 50% of the conference registration fee for successful applicants.

Application regulations:
To apply for a FEMS grant you must be:
-    a member of a FEMS Member Society; this must be confirmed by any officer of your society*
-    less than 36 years of age at the closing date of the meeting*
-    an active microbiologist*
-    a presenting author of an abstract at BAGECO 14

The TerraGenome is pleased to offer several awards of up to 1,200 USD plus free registration to support meeting attendance by early career participants.

Application regulations:
To apply for a TerraGenome grant you must be:
-    a graduate student or postdoctoral student at a US institution*
-    a presenting author of a poster or volunteered oral presentation at BAGECO 14
